After 32 years of dedicated service in public education across Florida and Georgia, we are both proud and honored to celebrate the remarkable career of Zoe Evans. For the past three years, Zoe has served as Assistant Superintendent of Bremen City Schools, where her wisdom, leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence have left a lasting impact on our students, teachers, and community.
Since joining Bremen City Schools three years ago, Zoe has brought her breadth of experience and steadfast commitment to educational excellence, significantly enriching our school community. Her insight, mentorship, and leadership have been invaluable assets to our district.
Zoe's career has spanned two states—Florida and Georgia—and four impactful roles:
• 19 years as an inspiring and innovative science teacher
• 4 years as a committed and supportive assistant principal
• 6 years as a visionary high school principal
• 3 years as the esteemed Assistant Superintendent of Bremen City Schools
Zoe’s contributions to science education have extended far beyond the classroom. She has long been a respected voice in science teaching and curriculum development, influencing practices and policies at both the state and national levels. Her passion for science education and her mentorship of educators have made her a cherished leader in our field.
Though we bid farewell to her as a member of our administrative team, Zoe will continue inspiring and leading educators across the country. In the true spirit of the saying, “Teachers never retire; they simply keep teaching,” we are thrilled to share that Zoe will begin a new chapter with the National Science Teaching Association as their Senior Director of Education Programs. This new chapter is a fitting continuation of a career dedicated to supporting teachers and elevating science education across the country.
Zoe, we celebrate you today with gratitude and admiration. Your legacy as a friend, colleague, leader, and teacher will forever be part of the Bremen story.
With gratitude and best wishes,
Your Bremen City Schools Family
