On behalf of Bremen City Schools, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Mary Slaughter. Mary will always be remembered as the beloved elementary librarian who touched the lives of countless students. Our thoughts are also with her husband, Reese Slaughter, who served Bremen with dedication as both a former Blue Devil Football coach and principal of Jones Elementary School. His legacy continues through the 5th grade Washington Trip, a tradition he started that still enriches our students’ experiences today.
Our hearts go out to the Slaughter family during this difficult time. Mary’s impact on our community will never be forgotten.
